Transneft tariffs to remain unchanged until mid-2003

Tariffs for services of the Russian oil transportation company Transneft will remain unchanged until June 2003, a Transneft official reported to an RBC correspondent, referring to the corresponding decision of the Russian Federal Energy Commission. He noted that the energy commission would consider this issue again after a meeting of Transneft shareholders, when the company's results for 2002 would be announced. Korshunov did not rule out that the company's tariffs could remain unchanged until the end of 2003 if the energy commission makes this decision after considering Transfneft's financial situation in June 2003.
