Two vessels sinks in port of Novorossiysk

As a result of ice accretion and stormy wind two vessels sunk in the dock of the sea port of Novorossiysk (Russian port on the Black Sea), the Internal Affairs Department of the Krasnodar territory reported on Tuesday.

As a result of the stormy wind and the consequent ice accretion the Russian Navy auxiliary vessel "BGK-775" of 120 tons displacement had sunk.

The same reasons caused the surveying vessel "Arktika" of 1,500 tons displacement to turn over and sink to the sea bed.

There were no victims. Rescuers managed to evacuate 33 members of the crews of the sunken vessels.
