Kazakhstani plant to assemble Russian cars

The Kazakhstani plant Asia Avto in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk is to start assembling model Niva cars. This decision was adopted on December 9 at a meeting of a commission, which had inspected the plant's readiness for assembling VAZ-21213 and VAZ-21214 models.

According to the press service of the Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ, annual production will be 10,000 cars at least. Car components will be supplied by AvtoVAZ. Later, some components are planned to be produced in Kazakhstan.
