Many Agreements Concluded During International Aerospace Exibition in Krasnoyarsk

The second international Siberian Aerospace Exhibition (SAKS-2002)closed in Krasnoyarsk today. According to the event's press service, about 10 large agreements were concluded while the exhibition continued. They are supposed to result in the renovation of the aircraft fleets of a number of Siberian air carriers.

For instance, the KrasAir company has leased three TU-204-100s and two Boeing 767s. The newly acquired aeroplanes will be flying as soon as in the summer of 2003. Another Siberian air carrier, Sibaviatrans has leased three newest AN-140 aeroplanes of joint Russian-Ukrainian production. Two more AN-140s will go to the Republic of Buryatia.

Other agreements that were concluded at the exhibition include those for cooperation between Boeing and Siberian aviators, for the extension of Lufthansa's flights to Siberia, and others. The participants of the aerospace exhibition in Siberia included over 120 companies. The next such exhibition will be held in Krasnoyarsk in 2004.
