Russian Foreign Ministry made another payment to settle the INF debt

The Russian Finance Ministry has made another payment of 16,422,217.25 pounds on Monday as part of the IMF debt settlement, a Finance Ministry source informed RIA Novosti.

The previous payment of 55,680,728 US dollars was made on November 20.

All in all, Russia must pay 1.5 billion dollars to the IMF in 2002.

As of January 1, 2002 Russia's IMF debt was 7.5 billion dollars. About 1.4 billion dollars were paid to the IMF from January to November.

IMF representatives say that Russia fully meets its obligations on the earlier IMF loans.
