Number of mobile users growing in Russia
There were 16.330m mobile subscribers in Russia on December 1, 2002, the analytical agency Advanced Communications & Media (ACM) reported. At the end of October this figure was 15.410m users.
The number of Mobile TeleSystems' subscribers amounted to 6.060m at the end of November 2002, including 2.86m in the Moscow region. VimpelCom had 4.585m subscribers, including 3.58m in the Moscow region. There were 2.68m of MegaFon subscribers at the end of November, including 251,500 users in the Moscow region.
