New Russian Foreign Ministry representation opens in Far Eastern region

The sixth representation of the Russian Foreign Ministry in the Far Eastern region was opened in Blagoveshchensk (Russian Far East) on Tuesday.

Leonid Bazarny, representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Blagoveshchensk, said that the new mission will help tourist organizations and budget enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity, will carry out consular work, and follow the economic and political situation in the adjacent countries.

At present, there are more than 30 Foreign Ministry representations in the Federation members. In the Russian Far East such representations are in Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Birobijan and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The opening ceremony of the consular mission was attended by representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in Vladivostok, deputy Consul-General of the PRC in Khabarovsk, a representative of the foreign affairs administration of the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province (PRC), deputy mayor of the town of Haihe (PRC) and other officials.
