EvroKhim to Try and Get US Department of Commerce to Lower Import Duty on Russia's Fertilisers

The EvroKhim company, a Russian producer of mineral fertilisers intends to have talks with the US Department of Commerce as concerns the anti-damping procedures the latter has initiated as concerns the supplies of carbamide-ammonia mixture from Russia. According to the company's press service, a delegation from EvroKhim will discuss with the Department of Commerce the possibility of the signing of an agreement to suspend the procedure, which would allow to keep import rates down. According to Nikolai Levitsky, Exrokhim's General Director, there is hope to keep the protective rate to a minimum or even get the department to acknowledge no damping at all.
