Russians spend 5.7% of incomes on buying currency

In the period from January to October 2002, Russians spent 58.4 percent of their incomes on buying goods, compared to 59.9 percent in the corresponding period of last year, the Russian State Statistics Committee reported. Some 15.4 percent of incomes were spent on services (15.2 percent last year). 5.7 percent of incomes were spent on buying foreign currency (5.6 percent). 10.3 percent were spent on savings (8.9 percent in 2001).

An advance in cash money resources was 1 percent in the first ten months of this year (1.7 percent). Russians spent 9.2 percent of their incomes on obligatory payments and fees (8.9 percent).
