President Putin: Russian-Chinese relations are an important factor of international stability

The special strategic partnership between Russia and China is "a very important factor of international stability," Vladimir Putin told journalists on Monday after a round of Russian-Chinese summit talks in Beijing. He stressed that Russia and China intended to strengthen that relationship, which also helped solve tasks facing the two countries.

"International relations must be steady and foreseeable," said the Russian leader. He reminded the assembly that Russia and China supported the idea of a multipolar world and the idea of "developing democratic principles of the new structure of international relations and strengthening the legal base of international cooperation and institutions of international cooperation, of which the United Nations is the most important one."
