YUKOS's board of directors to discuss 2002 interim dividends

A board of directors meeting of the YUKOS Oil Company scheduled for December 5, 2002, will discuss the amount of interim dividends for 2002, the press service of the company reported to RBC.

On November 12, 2002, the board of directors decided to call an Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting on December 31, 2002. The meeting is to be held via an absentee ballot. It is planned to discuss the payment of interim dividends for the first nine months of 2002. As it was previously reported, YUKOS paid $15.250bn (about $478.96m) in dividends in 2001, including RUR5.9bn (about $185.30m) in interim dividends paid in the fourth quarter of 2001.

According to Russian Accounting Standards, YUKOS's net profits amounted to RUR90.8bn (about $2.85bn) over the first three quarters of 2002.
