Federal budget income was 20% of GDP in January-September 2002

Budget revenues were 20 percent of the GDP in January-September 2002, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov said at the opening of a government meeting. The Prime Minister was quoted as saying the budget "is still stable in terms of its income".

As it was reported earlier, at its meeting today the government will consider the results of the federal budget implementation in January-September 2002. As it was also reported earlier, according to the Russian Finance Ministry's preliminary estimate, the federal budget revenues were RUR1.572 trillion (around $49.43bn) in January-September 2002 (74 percent of the annual budget assignment or 102.2 percent of the revised budget assignment for January-September 2002).
