Capital investments in oil and gas production growing

According to materials of the Russian Energy Ministry, capital investments in the oil and gas industry will amount to about $10bn in 2002, which is 10 percent higher than in 2001, and the oil production volume will be 377m tons.

In 2001 capital investments were $9.5bn, which was almost twice as much as in 2000. The oil production volume amounted to 348m tons last year.
