Tender for Darial-TV channel declared void
Today's tender for a broadcasting license for the former Darial-TV channel has been declared void, Russian Media Minister Mikhail Lesin told journalists. None of six bidders collected the necessary number of votes of members of the Federal Tender Commission. So the tender is to be held again.
One of the participants told journalists that the next tender would be organized in 2003.
As it was reported earlier, applications were filed by New Television Projects, General Research, Darial-TV, Rambler Broadcasting Corporation, ATV and the Tekhnointeks company, supported by Channel One television.
