Vladimir Putin on relations between authorities, society and business

Constructive relations between authorities, society and business are one of the conditions for successful democratic change and steady economic development of Russia, says a message sent by Vladimir Putin to participants and organisers of the Togliatti Dialogue forum, RIA Novosti was told at the presidential press-service.

According to the Russian head of state, "the important thing is that representatives of authorities, public organisations and business communities gathered from various regions of Russia are united by one common goal -- a search for new and effective forms of joint work".

RIA Novosti was told at the Russian Labour Ministry that the dialogue between authorities, business and society on social problems and their solution will be held at Togliatti (a centre of the motor industry on the Volga) as part of a fair of social projects, Togliatti-2002, opening on Friday.

The first such fair took place two years ago in Perm, the Urals.

The first civil forum held in Moscow a year ago marked the beginning of an open dialogue between authorities and society. This year's forum and the fair of social and cultural projects of the Volga Federal District will meet in the Togliatti Dialogue.

An all-Russian conference, "The Civil Forum -- A Year On. What Next?", will be held within its framework.

The fair will continue until November 24.
