The Finance Ministry of Russia repaid GBP16.55m to the IMF today, arepresentative of the ministry reported. The volume of the payment is 19.5mSDRs. This was the second payment made this month. According to preliminary information from the Finance Ministry of Russia,the amount of the Russian government's debt to the fund was $7.7bn as ofJanuary 1, 2002. .
