Over 1,000 houses reconstructed in Chechnya over past months

Over 1,000 houses have been reconstructed in Chechnya over past several months, said Madina Muskhadzhiyeva, the head of the Construction Department in the Chechen government, to a RIA Novosti correspondent.

According to her, nine reconstructed houses are municipal, and 405 families have received accommodation there. Muskhadzhiyeva said that several hundreds of private and municipal accommodation units had to be put into operation. She emphasised that construction and reconstruction works were carried out in the facilities of health care, education, and the building industry.

Another ambulance station and a hospital will be put into operation in Grozny till the end of the month. The initial run stage is going on at the Grozny brick factory - it will produce first bricks in October, Muskhadzhiyeva stressed.

Brick factories in the Chechen towns of Shali, Gudermes, and Shelkovskaya have started their work, but they only cover 40% of the republic's needs in bricks.

At the same time, Muskhadzhiyeva said, facilities in the agricultural sphere are being reconstructed at a slower rate.
