Moscow Arbitration Court ordered newspaper Pravda to apologize to PRAVDA.Ru

PRAVDA.Ru won its lawsuit with the newspaper Pravda

The arbitration Court of Moscow ruled to uphold the claim of PRAVDA.Ru against the Editorial Staff of the newspaper Pravda. The suit was filed to defend the business reputation of the claimant .

PRAVDA.Ru has reported that the lawsuit was filed in order to reject the information that was published in the newspaper Pravda on November 9. The newspaper published information that defamed the reputation of the claimant. The newspaper Pravda wrote that the online publication PRAVDA.Ru used the trademark of the newspaper. The trademark depicts Soviet orders, with which the registered newspaper Pravda was allegedly awarded in August of 1991.

Pursuant to the award of the court, the defendant is supposed to bring official apologies to the claimant and publish them in its up-coming issue. The defendant is also to reject the information that was published in its November issue. The defendant was given the period of one month to appeal the ruling.
