Duma deputy, "Russia can do anything to save Iraq"

Russia can do anything to prevent a war in Iraq, Deputy Chairman of theRussian State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky said in an interview withjournalists today. One of the solutions of the problem, according to theDuma deputy, may be "a deal based on political interests". In any event,according to the LD party leader, Russia can save Iraq if it is willingto do so. "But if Moscow meets Bush half-way, then Washington will keepsilent when we bomb some other country", he said. The State Duma deputy didnot specify which country Russia will bomb. .
