The First MISC LNG Tanker

Malaysia International Shipping Corp Bhd (MISC) has taken delivery of the first of the six new LNG tankers, currently being built in Japan. A 137,100 cu m tanker will join MISC’s integrated pool of 13 LNG tankers chartered by Malaysia LNG to serve its customers in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

Dealing this MISC has strengthened its position as the single largest LNG fleet owner and operator in the world with a total gross capacity of 1.5 million cu m, representing about 11% of the total world capacity.
