Ready to pay, but not ready to say sorry to Israel

PRAVDA.Ru wrote in its article “Black September in Munich and subsequent retribution” about the tragic events during the XX Olympic Games in Munich in 1972. Yesterday, it became known that Germany is going to pay three million euros to the relatives of the Israelis that were killed as a result of the Black September terrorist group attack. This was stated by the German Interior Minister Otto Schily after the end of the mourning ceremony that was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the massacre.

However, relatives also demanded Germany should apologize for the incident. Schily stated that Germany would not apologize.

The latest opinion poll in Germany has shown a growh in anti-Israeli feelings among the German population. Over one-fourth of the respondents expressed negative opinions of Jews. The respondents stated that Jewish influence is too strong.Fifty-three percent of the respondents agreed that Jews often (more often than others) use various tricks and ruses in order to achieve their goals. RBC reported that the growth of anti-Jewish feelings in Germany is connected with the tense situation in the Middle East and open anti-Israel criticism.
