Oil Pushes FTSE

The FTSE rose yesterday afternoon, closing 19.2 points higher at 5,214.7.

BP shares were 3.5p higher at 612.5 while Shell added 9p to 515 and Enterprise Oil added 3p to close at 620 as crude lifted again in London to trade at USD25.45.

Anglo-Dutch steel group Corus dropped 0.75p to 86.25. Earlier, the EU said it will monitor imports of different steel categories and, once they reach set reference amounts, will apply import tariffs of up to 26pc onto US imports.
