September 11 planner invited to give lecture in Egypt

Ayman Al-Zawahiri, thought to be one of the masterminds behind the terrorist attack on September 11th, has been invited to participate in a conference, via internet, in Egypt in the near future.

The subject of the conference is the future of Islam and although the organisers claim to be ignorant of his whereabouts, he has been invited to participate. A spokesperson for the organisation of the conference, Mr. Zayat said: “He should speak. He should give his motives, his opinion on September 11th and on the path for us to solve the crisis in which the Islamic world is situated”.

Zawahiri is one of the founding members of the extremist Islamist group Jihad, which fought against Hosni Mubarak’s government between 1992 and 1997, along with Al-Gamaa Al-Islamiya.

Mr. Zayat, a lawyer, asks, “Should we continue with the same methods, insulting and cursing the USA? Is this the only way for us to reach our objectives?”
