Next year Russia will export more than 50 tons of caviar

Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Kasyanov signed the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on the establishment of export quotas for the export of caviar and other sturgeon products.

The Department of Governmental Information reported that the export quota for caviar will amount to 51.07 tons, including 15.12 tons of caviar of 2001. Export quotas for sturgeon products (excluding caviar) will be 209.5 tons.

In accordance with the consent given by the Azerbaijani and Turkmen Governments, the Government instructed to allow Russians to export products made of fish caught in the Volga River, sturgeon caviar on account of the Azerbaijani quota in the amount of two tons and on account of Turkmen quota - 3,967 tons.

Moreover, the Russian government instructed to allow to export sturgeon products (excluding caviar) on account of the export quota of Azerbaijan in the amount of 9,5 tons and on the account of export quota of Turkmenistan - 12 tons.
