Petrol Prices Up By 15p A Gallon

Petrol price rises up to 15p a gallon within the next few weeks in the UK.

BP has already hiked its prices by 1p a litre - around 5p a gallon - across 500 of its 1300 outlets in the UK.

And Esso announced from this morning it has followed suit at selected outlets across the country.

Prices were tipped to go up by as much as 3p a litre or 15p a gallon by the end of next month. That would push the average cost of unleaded up to 78p a litre - or ё3.55 a gallon.

Everything was lumped together: Iraq’s invasion, dollar’s strengthening against pound, rise of costs for petroleum products.

The rivals are going to follow BP’s policy which can provoke indignation of the public.
