Data on state debt released

According to preliminary data, the state debt of Russia amounted toRUR4.547 trillion (about $144.01bn) as of July 1, 2002. The domestic debtwas RUR555.8bn (about $17.60bn); the foreign debt reached RUR3.991 trillion(about $126.40bn). This information was released in the report of theRussian Finance Ministry on the implementation of the federal budget in thefirst half of 2002.As of July 1, 2002, the Russian state debt increased by RUR111.7bn (about$3.54bn) as compared to January 1, 2002.
