Heavy showers cause emergency situation in Maritime Territory

Heavy showers have caused an emergency situation in the Maritime Territory (Russian Far East).

As the local Hydro-Meteorological Centre reported on Wednesday, more than fifty millimetres of precipitation has been registered over the past two days. Late last week there were also heavy showers, thus the amount of precipitation in the Territory has topped the monthly norm.

As a result, some meadows and roads have been flooded.

In the Dalnerechensky district rivers overflowed the banks flooding houses and fields.

On Wednesday, bad weather will remain in the northern part of the Territory, while in its southern part it is warm and sunny.
