Baltika bolsters its position on low alcohol cocktail market

The low alcohol cocktail market share of Baltika, one of the largestRussian breweries, increased by a factor of 7 to 1.5 percent in the firsthalf of 2002 as compared to the figure reported in the first half of 2001.As the press service of the company reported, the market share of "Baltikaalcohol-free" beer was 23.4 percent in the first half of 2002 as comparedto 21.1 percent posted in the similar period of last year. Baltika has beenproducing alcohol-free beer since 2000. In January-June 2002 the company'sbeer sales rose 32 percent to 83m decaliters. .
