Prominent Russian politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky has eyesight problems after car accident in USA

Vladimir Zhirinovsky says that he has got eyesight problems after a car accident in the USA.

The State Duma Vice-Speaker is currently being examined at the Boston Ambulance Centre, said the press service of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) faction of the State Duma.

Now Zhirinovsky feels better, but he suffers from strong headaches and sharp eye pain.

However, the LDPR leader suffered least of all in the car accident, because he sat on the side opposite to the strike. Oleg Malyshkin, the head of the party's central staff, has a serious craniocerebral injury. Malyshkin is half-paralysed and has lost speech. Zhirinovsky's advisor Pavel Chernov is even in a worse condition. Doctors are giving him anaesthesic injections because he has an arm fracture with bone displacement and a leg dislocation with ligament rupture, the press service said.

According to Zhirinovsky, he went to the medical centre at doctors' urgent request. While doctors were examining him for an hour, Zhirinovsky got more than 100 telephone calls from all over the world, the LDPR leader said.

The car accident occurred in Boston's suburbs. According to Zhirinovsky, an experienced driver was driving the car at a speed of 130-140 kilometres per hour.

There were some attempts to undercut the car of the Russian politician. Finally, a particularly stubborn driver caused the traffic accident. "The car shot out from the traffic lane to the roadside and stroke against a barrier, and the villain escaped," the LDPR leader said.
