PM signs decree on increasing oil export tax

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has signed the government's decree on changing the export tax on crude oil and oil products from $26.2 to $29.8 per ton. This tax will come into effect on December 1, 2002, the department of government information reported. The department specified that the growth in the export tax was due to the advance in oil prices on the international market.
