Surgutneftegaz head to discuss privatization of petrochemical companies with Belarusian President

A delegation of the Surgutneftegaz company, headed by General Director Vladimir Bordanov, will visit Belarus during the next two days to hold talks on the privatization of Belarusian petrochemical companies with the leadership of Belarus. A source close to the negotiation process told RBC that the procedure for privatizing Belarusian petrochemical companies had been practically prepared, but some technical details had to be discussed. During the visit of the Surgutneftegaz delegation to Belarus, a meeting between Bogdanov and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will be held.

Additionally, Bogdanov will hold talks with the president of the Belarusian state concern Belneftekhim and the general directors of the Azot, Polimir and Naftan companies.

As it was reported earlier, the Belarusian government had repeatedly changed the date and the conditions for the privatization of petrochemical companies. The final conditions have not been announced yet. LUKoil, Slavneft and YUKOS have also shown their interest in the Belarusian companies.
