Italian deputy productive activities minister to open "industrial zones" in Moscow

Italian Deputy Minister for Productive Activities Adolfo Urso is arriving in Russia for a three-day visit.

Besides Moscow, Urso will visit Yekaterinburg and Lipetsk, the Italian Embassy to Russia reported.

The main goal of the visit is to open the so-called industrial zones, where joint Russian-Italian enterprises will be based.

This initiative "will open a new important stage of development and economic cooperation for Italy and Russia," the Italian party believes. Significantly, about 100 Italian enterprises will take part in the project.

When speaking on Urso's forthcoming visit to Russia, the embassy reported that he would hold negotiations with Russian Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade Elvira Nabiullina on November 19th in Moscow. Together with Yevgeny Primakov, chairman of the Russian Trade and Industrial Chamber, Urso will take part in the work of the General Assembly of the Russian-Italian Trade Chamber.

The Italian deputy minister is expected to visit the Moscow furniture exhibition. More than 400 Italian entrepreneurs are taking part in it this year.

In Lipetsk Urso will open the so-called white industrial zone, where joint enterprises producing parts for household appliances will be located, the Italian embassy explained.

Another "industrial zone" is to be opened in Yekaterinburg. It will include iron and steel companies and machine building enterprises.

On Thursday, November 21st, Urso will leave for Italy.
