Oil And Gas Reserves In Former Soviet Republic
Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) has discovered oil and gas reserves in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
The company recently has completed drilling its fourth well, the East Livanov 2A, in offshore Block 1.
The three previous tests conducted at the well resulted in a flow rate of 14,176 barrels of oil and 19.05 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
Petronas is satisfied with the test results, and sees the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea highly prospective.
The company will undertake further assessment to confirm the commercial viability of the reserves.
