Direct air service opens between Tatarstan and China
Air lines "Tatarstan" opens on Saturday a regular air service with the People's Republic of China, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
The Kazan-Omsk-Urumchi route will for the first time link the Russian region on the Volga with China. The service will be flown by a Tu-154 twice a week.
Chinese air lines will coordinate their domestic flights with "Tatarstan". In that way, tourists can leave Urumchi for Beijing, Shanghai or Xiangang within an hour.
