Russian companies to jointly restore Afghan gas industry

The Rosneft and the Itera oil and gas companies could create a joint venture for restoring the gas industry in Afghanistan, a source in Itera reported to RBC. As the same time, a representative of the company pointed out that other forms of collaboration for exploring Afghan gas fields were possible, too. According to him, specialists of both companies are currently studying gas fields, optimal forms of activities in the region, etc. The company's representative did not comment on the terms of implementing this project, as they would depend on the results of expert work.
