AvtoVAZ reports production results for 9 months of 2002

Russia's largest car manufacturer, AvtoVAZ, increased its production volume by 0.7 percent to 574, 262 cars over the first nine months of 2002, against the same period in 2001, a source in the press service of the company reported to RosBusinessConsulting. In particular, 175,683 VAZ-2110 cars were produced and another 72,094 cars of different models will be exported.

In other words, AvtoVAZ overfulfilled its production plan for January-September of 2002 by 9 percent.

In September, 64,626 cars were produced, of which 20,851 were VAZ-2010 cars. It is worth mentioning that the car manufacturer is supposed to produce more than 770,000 cars of different models.
