Customs Committee posts data on Russian foreign trade turnover

The foreign trade turnover of Russia reached $93.7bn from January to August 2002. This figure includes $15.9bn in trading with CIS states, which reduced 8.2 percent, and $77.8bn in trading with other foreign countries, which increased 2.2 percent.

According to the Russian State Statistics Committee, Russian exports over this period hit $65bn, which was 2.9 percent less than in the first eight months of 2001. In particular, exports to CIS states remained unchanged at $9.4bn and exports to other foreign countries dropped by 3.3 percent to $55.6bn.
