World Food Programme Stretched

The World Food Programme has admitted that it has never had to face so many challenges at the same time and that its resources are being stretched to the limit at a time when there are 28 million people at serious risk of death through starvation in southern Africa.

The alert was launched by the programme’s spokesperson, Christiane Berthiaume, who claimed that the 28 million people in question are wholly dependent on food distributed by the UN organism.
