As any large-scale action, the All-Russian population census couldn’t avoid interesting and aggressive incidents. For instance, one pensioner suffering from sclerosis set her grandson against census agents. The problem is that the woman didn’t like the fact that a census wasn’t taken of her for the second time. Indeed, the work of census agents has been extremely difficult during the past week in Russia. There have been people who not only wouldn’t give their personal information, but even attacked the agents.
It is unbelievable, but five crimes were committed against census agents on the very last day of the All-Russian population census. According to Russia’s online source RosBusinessConsulting, the crimes were committed in St.Petersburg, the Tambov and Moscow regions, in the republic of Mordovia, and in Primorye.
In St.Petersburg, a 22-year-old hooligan attacked the deputy chairman of a census station. The problem is that the young man’s sclerotic grandmother demanded that a repeat census be taken of her, as the old woman decided to make a few changes. According to legislation, no repeat census can be taken, and the old woman’s request was rejected. The sclerotic woman was extremely disappointed, told everything to her grandson, and the young man decided to seek justice. He was so enraged by the unfair attitude toward his grandmother, he even started a fight at the census station. He beat the hell out of the deputy chairman of the station and escaped. The police arrested the hooligan some time later, and a criminal case has been instituted against him.
