Kamaz Launches a New Leasing Scheme

The KAMAZ truck factory has launched a new leasing release scheme, said Yevgeny Goldfein, the company's accountant-general, at a meeting with top managers of Russia's leading transport firms.

According to Goldfein, all types of these heavy lorries can be leased with the possibility of subsequent acquisition. He pointed out that an original account system based on traditional leasing had been launched on October 1st. "Now one does not have to save money or look for loans to by a truck. It is enough to pay 30% of its cost (without VAT) and pay the rest of the sum for three years," Goldfein said.

After the front money is paid, the monthly payment will be around 15,000 roubles. Thus, even minor businessmen can acquire a truck for the money they have earned on its use, Goldfein believes.

The benefit is valid for the first 500 trucks. "This is not an advertising trick," the manager said, "simply, the government of Tatarstan has allocated money for exactly this number of trucks."
