Turkmenistan and Ukraine to sign gas supply contract

During the Ukrainian governmental delegation's visit to Ashgabad, on October 26 Turkmenistan and Ukraine will sign a contract for supplying Turkmen gas in 2003. As the press service of the Turkmen President reported, Kiev is planning to buy 36bn cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan at $44 per 1,000 cubic meters. An independent gas producer operating in Turkmenistan and exporting gas to the countries of the CIS is Itera, an oil and gas company.
