40 Russian Companies Will Introduce German Integrated Management System in 2003

40 Russian companies intend to install a German integrated management system in 2003. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, the Infor Com system was created by Infor Business Solution, the leading German manufacturer of solutions for the automation of middle-sized companies. The Russian company Epic Russ is the sole distributor of the German company in Russia, CIS countries and the Baltic states.

Vice-President of the Infor Business Solution Mike Hoffmann said that the system allows different manufacturing companies to automate their business projects. Mr Hoffmann said that the system has already been introduced into more than 3500 Western companies.

According to a Rosbalt correspondent, Epic Russ Director of Business Development Alexander Gomonov said that the Infor Com system was first introduced in Russia in 2001. 10 Russian companies are already using the system or are in the process of installing . These include the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, North-Western Timber Company, Engels Furniture Factory, Severstal - Enamel and a Ukrainian industrial-investment concern. Gomonov, however, did not say which companies are planning to install the system in 2003.

'German business is ready to come to Russia,' said Alexander Gomonov. He also said that the Germans are investing in Russian manufacturing. They are not supplying equipment but intellectual property. 'We believe that Russia is a country with a future in manufacturing. We hope that other countries will also begin to invest in our services,' said Mr Hoffman.
