Russian Investigative Committee claims Ukrainian prosecutors inadequate

Official spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin said that the agency would study the role of representatives of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine in "covering-up the genocide of the Russian-speaking population in the country," RIA Novosti reports.

"The inadequate protective reaction from a group of people hiding behind the sign of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine pushes us to study their role in covering up the genocide of the Russian-speaking population," said Markin.

Earlier, it was reported that the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings against several officials of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

On September 29, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the facts of genocide of the Russian-speaking population on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk breakaway people's republics.
