Bear bites off woman's hand in Novosibirsk zoo

A brown bear has bitten off a hand of a visitor in the zoo of Novosibirsk, a large Russian city in Siberia. Despite the warning signs, the woman stepped inside the protective fence and put her arm in the cage to touch the bear. The accident took place on Monday.

Zoo officials blame the accident on the victim herself claiming that she violated the rules of visiting the zoo. The woman, 41, has been rushed to a city hospital in the state of shock and with an excessive loss of blood.
