The government of the Moscow region is going to build Russia's first religious theme park. The park will be called "The Park of National Unity and Reconciliation."

The authors of the project plan to divide it into three areas: educational, recreational and commercial. The first zone will house religious buildings: a church, a synagogue, a mosque and a Buddhist temple, an exhibition hall, a conference room, a museum of the history of religion, Great Victory Museum, 3D- planetarium, as well as educational and entertainment complexes "Space", "Flora," "Fauna" and "Maze of Knowledge."

The cultural and recreational section of the park will house children's playgrounds, athletic fields, a cinema and a concert hall. In the commercial area, there will be several hotels, cafes and souvenir shops. In the heart of the park, visitors will find "The House of the Peoples of Russia." The house will look like a seed, from which "the tree of life" is growing.

For the time being, the authorities are looking for a construction site in the Moscow region. Reportedly, the park may take an area of 250 hectares near the Leningrad Highway and Dmitrovsky District. Nothing has been said about the size and funding sources of the project.

Earlier it was reported that the park would be built in Moscow. Over the last month, there were several announcements about the projects of large theme parks in the Moscow region. It primarily goes about landscape and recreational complex "Russia" in the Domodedovo district, the park of Russian fairy tales and a military and patriotic park on the territory of the "new Moscow."
