Kaluga was named Russia's most comfortable city following the results of the All-Russian contest. The decree was signed by the Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev and posted on the official website of legal information on December 25th. The Second place was taken by Tambov and Cheboksary. The third place was shared by the cities of Kemerovo and Vladimir.
All these cities will receive honorary diplomas of the government and cash prizes.
The contest was held among the cities that act as administrative centers of Russian regions. The contest criteria, among others, included the quality of roads, architectural and compositional urban development, the housing sector, preservation of historical, cultural and natural heritage, environmental security for the population, availability of parking lots and garages, etc.
