Putin approves Concept of Public Security

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the Concept of Public Security.

According to the Kremlin website, the concept is a fundamental document for strategic planning, defining state policy in the field of public security, as well as the basis for constructive cooperation in the field for public security forces and civil society, Russian citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons.

The document is to strengthen the rule of law, civil peace, political and social stability and improve the regulatory framework in the field of crime prevention, corruption, terrorism and extremism.

The document emphasizes that one of the main dangers to public security is extremist activities of nationalist, religious, ethnic, and other organizations and structures aimed at disrupting the unity and territorial integrity of Russia.
