Russia to have new aerobatic team on Yak-130

The Air Force of the Russian Federation are forming a new, extra class aerobatic team on state-of-the-art combat training aircraft Yak-130. The administration of the Russian Air Force leadership will have to have the new team ready for its major task: to demonstrate their aerobatic skills over Red Square during the Victory Day parade May 9, 2014.

One of these aircraft has already participated in the parade on May 9, 2010.

This year, the first group of 15 pilots of Borisoglebskaya Air Base, who were trained on the Yak-130, has successfully passed the final exam on flight training.

"Test pilots of the Yakovlev Design Bureau help pilots master low altitudes and low speed in preparation for a air build flight," an official with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) said.

The number of planes in the new team has not been decided yet. In June, Russian pilots showed most complicated stunts on the Yak-130, including the "bell" and "controlled spin " in the sky over the French Le Bourget.
