Sibneft sure about its interests as shareholder of Moscow Refinery

The Sibneft Oil Company expresses confidence that its interests as a shareholder of the Moscow Refinery will be observed, the company's press secretary stated to RBC commenting on yesterday's decision of the board of directors of the refinery, which does not include representatives of Sibneft, on adopting the production plan for November 2002.

According to the plan, next month the refinery is to process 800,000 tons of oil. Oil suppliers will be the Moscow Oil Company, the Tyumen Oil Company, Nafta Petrol and the Krokus Holding. The board of directors has thus excluded Sibneft from the list of oil suppliers for November 2002, though after the crisis in August 2002 when oil supplies to the refinery stopped, the management of the Moscow Oil Company, which was the operator of the refinery, signed an agreement with Sibneft on supplying at least 350,000 tons of oil per month for a year.
