Dmitry Medvedev does not exclude his return as President

Prime Minister and former President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev does not exclude his return to presidency. According to him, he is going to nominate his candidacy in 2018.

The head of the Russian government has released the statement in his interview with the French media - AFP news agency and Figaro newspaper. The interview is available on the website of the government of the Russian Federation.

"If I am strong and healthy enough, and if our people entrust this kind of work to me in the future, I, of course, do not exclude such a turn of events. But it depends on a whole set of factors," Medvedev said, noting that he "has stepped into this river before, and this is just the river, into which you can step twice."

When asked whether he was missing the Kremlin, Medvedev said that "one should not get attached to any specific place of work, because otherwise you'll never be able to work in another place."

"For those who think otherwise, changing jobs is a tragedy. This is not good. Certainly, you shouldn't assume that you are there forever - on any position, from the head of a village to president. So the Kremlin is a beautiful place, I say it again, it is the heart of our country, but I am absolutely comfortable working in the White House," said the prime minister.
